Zoe off-road fun!

Still October, autumn has chimed in. Yeah, it was a great year with a lot of photos taken and our schedule isn’t yet completed. To our surprise, I succeeded to manage a very special outdoor shooting session for this season!! On our weekly organization meet at SF’s headquarter I told to the gals: “Let's go 4X4 and have some fun with a Suzuki Samurai!!” Mia - Zoe - Amy: “HEEH? 4X4? Is there a new resilient coming in soon and we’re a quadruple doll team?” Me: ”Don’t worry. A Suzuki Samurai is nothing other than an off road vehicle which is all wheel driven and that’s called an 4X4 and it belongs to one of my mates who thankfully offered me to do a shoot with one of you” Zoe was the selected lady to participate on this last outdoor shoot 2016 and she couldn’t await the new adventure trip.

So now we’re on the terrain at this cloudy Friday 14th, the equipment for this special session:

  • A nervous doll who’s known to have no fear for any kind of things we do.
  • A mud-splashed off road fun car.
  • A mate who never met a doll like Zoe before (I warned him because this red-haired cheeky gal isn’t the bravest of my trio!!!)
  • Photographic tools: a Nikon D750 with AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR lens, a Manfrotto MT190X3 tripod with 3-axis head.

As a good starter Zoe received a short introduction on how to NOT kill this Japanese machine but although I didn’t guaranteed to the owner that it will be in an operable condition after Zoe’s terrain escapades so we followed every maneuver very carefully (I didn’t mention that she’s not the most careful car driver from my team). Ready for the photo safari, we selected a nice spot and Zoe took a cool pose. Click Click Click, next place please….great fun seeing Zoe struggling with the gears. With the upcoming time Zoe’s hell ride became more and more bold until she stuck the Suzi on a steep bulge..(Smile & LOL). Yelling “Hey, what’s now” (with asking undertone) we told her that she can pull the car with the towing rope over this (damn) bulge but soon she realized the joke. Poor lil’ Zoe, exhausted and dirty, she wanted to stop riding and just do some posing on the Samurai’s body.

Three hours have gone and suddenly at an upcoming shower we decided to end this shooting session. Not to mention my cold fingers but Zoe knows how to warm them up again very shortly.

On a Friday midday in a rugged terrain somewhere in the woods....

Note from the Editor: Each month we will feature a different photographer's work. We invite doll owners and manufacturers alike to participate in this new monthly feature. Photo shoots must meet a minimum quality level. If you do not meet that level we are happy to work with you, critique your photos and help you to raise the bar on your photography. Good photo shoots can be had with low cost digital cameras. It is all in the technique.

Hi SF,

Wow, great pics AND a great story.

I wonder how Mia reacted when Zoe was chosen to drive the Suzuki.  But perhaps it was for the best that Zoe got the mission. I know Mia and letting her drive in a 4x4 on rough terrain may be more than you MB dolls consistancy can handle. Hahaha!! laugh.   And  I am also pretty sure that your ´pull-the-car-stunt´would not have worked on her.

Hey Zoe,

I do hope that you did not let SF completely get away with it , but I have to say that the photos he made of you pulling the Suzuki are really good! yeswink

Love,  Stellai

Wow . that was a great adventure you had. SF did a fantastic job, yoou look so great on the hood of that Suzuki. By the way, my ladies like that kind of Suzuki. :) Chris

I think Zoe can drive can drive any thing she pleases!devil Nice work Guy

Hi Stellai,

here's Zoe at SF's account. Don't be afraid, he's aware that I'm online and cute Mia sit's next to me :-)
We do such selections by throwing a dice and the highest number is the winner!! Very funny and simple.
Hey, I just can say that this was a funny afternoon and I wish we could get buy a Suzuki for us dollies.
OH, the´pull-the-car-stunt´....hey, that was just a mis-en-scene joke! I'm clever enough to know that this car has a functional reverse gear.
Whoa, suddenly a shower came down. Imagine me, only dressed with a shirt and both MB dolls in warm jackets but cold fingers.
Honestly they agreed to stop the shoot but anyway I liked to join the fun and to warm-up my beloved SF.

Hugs from Mia & Zoe

Hi Chris,

this Suzuki is amazing and just ideal for dollies but after a long discussion SF wants to buy again a Jeep.
I just feared to damage the hood while posing, I heard some BOINGS but hopefully it survived the act!!

Great the ladies with a lot of hugs,

Zoe & Mia

Hi deerman,

I can do that, with the greatest pleasure.
We want to do more outdoor shoots for next year but currently we decided to take a small outy and to relax.

Great your ladies, we miss you!!!

With love from Zoe & Mia
