Pavers' assistant

Last month it was busy here at Nescio’s place. All the pavement in the front yard was replaced. The pavers looked really strong, Michelle kept staring at those guys 

“They need some assistance” she said. “Someone who takes care of their tools, someone who stimulates them.”

I tried to hold her back, as I didn’t want those workers to be distracted. But Michelle was already outside, being the pavers’ assistant …
