This month I am doing something completely different. Seeing as there have been many in the 1/6 th scale community who have complained that not every female is the same height and wanted a variety to choose from. Released this month from TBLeague is their answer to that cry.

We have available now 2 new series to chose from.

1.) S24A (pale) / S25B (suntan) at 28.5 cm or 11.2 inches

2.) S26A (pale) / S27B (suntan)  at 27.8 cm or 10.9 inches

Won't waste much time on the box, same basic design as the old boxes. the clamshell is however down scaled to fit just the new figures. I like to keep these as they are perfect storage trays.

These are sculpted after the more athletic series of 1/6 figures, that would be the S22A (Pale med boobs) and the S23B (suntan medium boobs).

I choose the S19B for my comparison body as it is the spare I had and it is the correct height.

I selected four heads from my Galaxy Soldiers as it is short haired and since I have 3 of them it would make a good contrast. Right off the bat the biggest issue is the knob on the metal neck peg is smaller then the head plug for the normal phicen head. In order to keep them in place I had to employ a small wad of blue tack. It took a few times to get them to sit naturally.

Next were the feet and hands. What they did was to create a new smaller hand and use the same one for both of the new smaller figures. The feet however are exactly the same for all 3. This does make for a good standing figure and gets you to use all those shoes..but watch those nude photos., no big foot shots!

The sculpt on both is to be expected, perfect in every line from the arch of those delicate legs to the enhanced and better looking pussy. Yes, the 24/25 series has the best one sculpted out of the entire product line, IMHO.

It also appears that the 24/25 series just might be the best to use all that barbie clothes that was just a hair to tight or short. The night gown set I used here was made for a barbie doll. The undies that came with it I tossed, crap. But the little bra fit the middle one perfectly, a little to small for the shortest and I had to cut of the straps and pull like heck to get the tallest one's on.

Finding reasonable looking scaled heads will be the issue. I am not sure why they made the head knob smaller unless there is a whole new series of heads coming sometime in the future.

My conclusion is that I would shy away from the 26/27 series for now. The 24/25 series is close enough so that those older kumik heads that looked to small will now be perfect. If you are a beginner, wait a bit and stick with the standard stuff for the time being!

Now, as the joke goes here in the USA, my search for a little head continues!!

interesting comparission LR seems you found a way to adapt the heads and they look good on all of them. the clothes seem to fit ok as well.

Thanks Carly!!

Hi LR,

It is great to see there is a bit more variety coming.  It is really annoying talking to a doll, finding out that you have been talking to a clone, for whom you apparently have to repeat your question, or story, because apparently your conversation partner turned out not to be the same doll as last time. Variety solves this problem!  Though I have to say that I still think all of the body shapes of Phicen dolls are still very (very very very) much alike, so  I fear it will still be a menace for me to keep them apart. But hey, small steps in variety are better than no steps, right?! laugh

What personally interest me most in your photos is the setting. I am sooo jealous on what your dolls all have for furniture. Here it is all giant size unless I make it myself.

When my book sells, then the first thing that I am going to buy myself is one of those chairs!

Thanks, Mr ranger for yet another great insight to what is on offer in the mini range..smiley

May I also add that it is not only the hands that are smaller. The steel ball on the hand joint is smaller too. The feet as you say are the same size as the old models, but the ball on the foot is also smaller on the new models, at least they are on the S26A and S27B, (the shortest 27.8 cm / 10.9 inch ones). My middle size model has not arrived yet, so I cannot make any assumptions about that.

Barbie clothes will fit with easy now,  thank goodness yes but some outfits may actually be too big.

I hope the sellers will list clothing accordingly as it will create more headaches in buying clothes otherwise. But more importantly heads will need to be relisted to ensure you get the correct size for the model you have.. I can see it will be a few months before things will settle.

Another issue will be accessories. I doubt the smaller hands will fit most 1/6th scale items like a gun for example as well as the older models.. The new hands are tiny..!

So I agree with LoneRanger, If you are a TBL/Phicen beginner, stick with the older larger versions first. Particularly if you have big hands and poor eyesight.. lol wink

The other gripe I have with the smaller bodies is boobs.. Small frame girls tend to have smaller cup sizes. The medium breast on the smallest version looks way to big in my opinion and I have given feedback to TBL about this. It was probably a marketing decision, but it is possible smaller breast versions could be released in the near future as well..????? here's hoping..!

Dark skin models are also on the horizon as I'm sure some people are aware..

I will definitely look forward the mr Rangers blog on that one.. laugh
