This month's featured photographer is Alottahope, with a shoot of his Private Island Beauty entitled "A Little Bit of Grace" (ha ha, get it? I crack me up!)

Aloha Doll world! My forum and Cover doll name is Alottahope. I am now almost 4 months into doll ownership. My PIB Bathing Beauty is named Grace. She has become my muse. I had no idea that owning a doll was going to spark such creativity. We've had a lot of fun playing and setting up photo shoots.

When I started taking pictures of Grace, I would set her up and start firing off the shutter without really much thought. Then I'd pick thru the huge file of photos to see which ones looked good. Then I would post them on the forum.

At the same time, I was looking at other dolls in all the different galleries. I started to really get inspired by a few of the photographers works and saw what I was lacking. Basically it comes down to content. I love a picture that tells a story. Grant it, not all photos here tell a story but, given the opportunity it is a lot of fun to create these types of works! Sometimes the story can be just so simple. Like the way a dolls eye looks real or the way the light lays across her body.

I also like to show it all. Being able to pose Erotic arousing shots of Grace is really something that moves me. Plus I get to have fun with her after a good session!

My equipment is simple. I use a Canon Powershot SX20 IS.  I have incorporated some stage lighting. Par 56s with gels. I also have fired up the 3000 lumen video projector. This is fun because I have some motion loops that I can freeze for backgrounds. I will be doing more of this in shortly. I upload onto a MacBook Pro then limp my way through photoshop. Here is where the most improvement is needed. I've been getting better at making things like ropes and stands disappear. Every photo session is a learning experience. So much to learn but so far it has been Alotta fun!

Note from the Editor: Each month we will feature a
different photographer's work. We invite doll owners and manufacturers
alike to participate in this new monthly feature. Photo shoots must meet
a minimum quality level. If you do not meet that level we are happy to
work with you, critique your photos and help you to raise the bar on
your photography. Good photo shoots can be had with low cost digital
cameras. It is all in the technique.

I very much like this photo.  Totally convincing. Great work!

Thanks for the compliment! That photo was one of the February photo challenge pics I took. Although I entered another with different lighting, I thought this one had a natural look
:)

ADHD Highway to... Hey look a Squirrel!

Alottahope, you're learning fast. You're making Grace into one of the loveliest PIBs I've had the pleasure of viewing (if only in pictures). Nice work here!

Just a minor note: proper U.S. flag etiquette always has the star-field at the top left when it's hung. If you use the flag again for future pics, it'd be better to flip it around. :)
Cool setting for pics nonetheless!

Thank you Zang. Obviously I had no idea about Flag etiquette ??? I'd like to do that shot again soon so I get it right! I salute you!
