Our Monthly Featured Photographer for August is siliconefun:

The shooting theme:
Instead of taking shootings inside the apartment walls we want to go for this year from time to time to perform some exciting pictures outside.
It was just the time Mia went back from Doll Story and her beauty farm trip with plenty new ideas in mind so I drove her to my father’s home to (re)start our work in his back garden.
Due to the rainy weather condition sunbathing was not the ideal theme so a new one should be created and the first part was started the 6th July and published at TDF: Mia - 4woods/Doll Story - 2014 / In the Lodge (part1) –
Not very satisfied with the image presets from part1 a new shooting was done a week later and here’s our selection from 138 pictures we’ve accomplished. In a rush of time we passed a funny and nice midday in this homely cabin and Mia remembered some songs that she sang and gently accompanied with guitar chords.
Just as we started some shots in the lawn grass a shower stopped our outside work and we went back to the cabin.
The race sled is a reminiscence from my mushing area with my Siberian Husky Team and served as special equipment and leaves a nice adventure touch to my lady. Shortly after we finished this setup Mia was tired and smartly fallen asleep in her comfy position…..

Some information on the used equipment:
My camera:
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V bridge camera.
A tripod was used, but most pictures were done free-hand.

Additional lighting source:
Adjustable 2-way ceiling spotlight with 25W incandescent bulbs.
At this Sunday mid-July the weather was unstable and some sunrays break through the cloudy sky and enhanced some poses. Together with the adjustable spotlights the scene was illuminated in a more vivid tone.

Hope you like our first published CoverDoll theme as we’ve done during this greyish Sunday, we don’t stop here.

Wholeheartedly,
from Guy (siliconefun) & Mia

Note from the Editor: Each month we will feature a different
photographer's work. We invite doll owners and manufacturers
alike to participate in this new monthly feature. Photo shoots must meet
a minimum quality level. If you do not meet that level we are happy to
work with you, critique your photos and help you to raise the bar on
your photography. Good photo shoots can be had with low cost digital
cameras. It is all in the technique.

Hi deerman,
Thanks so much. I like Mia in the country girl look and of course we like to listen country music.

Greet your girls,

A really nice shoot siliconefun, and I'd volunteer to be locked up in a cabin with Mia ;) :).

Hi Kharn,
We highly appreciate this words and we're proud that you like it. Mia didn't let me out during the shooting. Not that she locked the cabin door but her nice art to provocate me :jawdrop:.

Hey Silicone Fun. Look like you had some fun posing Mia for this shoot! I love the side profile shot. Congratulations on getting In CoverDoll As Photographer of the month! Well done :)

Hi Dolltime,
That's the great fun with dolls, you can pick a nice theme and dress them up and the shooting goes on.

Thanks to comment

Hi Alottahope,
I appreciate your words as I often take a look to your topics and posts and I try my best in photography (steep learning curve). I didn't believe an invitation to CoverDoll as the level is high!
It makes so much fun to work with dolls and they emit this fashion who we want to catch.

Thanks,
:) Guy
