Our Monthly Featured Photographer for August is Kate Kane:

The model for this shoot is my doll Amy. Amy is a model JM142 ‘Lucy’ from JM Dolls of China. The setting for the shoot is a historic country house in the heart of the English countryside. It was a great privilege to be able to shoot there but part of the deal is that I’m afraid I can’t be specific about the exact location. I used a Canon EOS 600D digital SLR camera tripod mounted and a 50mm f1.8 prime lens. Most of the shots were taken with natural light only with just one or two requiring a little diffused fill-in flash. Love and peace! |

A picturesque place for pics
Such a picturesque setting! A beautiful place for a lovely doll. No wonder you enjoyed the shoot.
Those lacy glove-type items -- I wonder what they call those? Outdoors, it's fun to see this flip of the norm, with someone barefoot yet wearing something on their hands. On someone else it could easily be silly, but Amy here carries it gracefully.
