“Melon Farming”

Been missing the warm, sunny days outside? Now that the days are heating up in the northern hemisphere, owners are taking their dolls out for some fun in the sun. I'm no exception and I love outdoor photoshoots with my tall, busty, bespectacled doll Brie. This month we're harvesting some melons. It can be tough so you have to stay cool and hydrated anyway you can. But there's no better reward for hard work than some nice, ripe melons at the end of a long day.

Of special note is the dreamcatcher necklace Brie is wearing, a Christmas exchange gift from fellow doll enthusiast CrazyCajun, who recently passed away. Thanks to Coverdoll staff for giving me the opportunity to both share Brie with your readers and to honor our departed friend.

Equipment

Nikon D5300 with Nikkor 18-55mm autofocus lens. As an outdoors daytime shoot in near full sun, I required no additional lighting kits or backdrops. Oral inserts by VonRubber. Post-photography digital enhancement performed in Paint Shop Pro.

Note from the Editor: Each month we will feature a different photographer's work. We invite doll owners and manufacturers alike to participate in this new monthly feature. Photo shoots must meet a minimum quality level. If you do not meet that level we are happy to work with you, critique your photos and help you to raise the bar on your photography. Good photo shoots can be had with low cost digital cameras. It is all in the technique.
