Hi,
I think i did a 'hat trick' the past month when doing Elle's christmas photoshoot :)
The first pic was not my choice initially, but it seems it is far more viewed than my own choice so i put it in the hat trick ;)
The title 'Mère Noël' means 'mother Noël' in french, Noël being of course Christmas. We don't use the word 'Santa Claus' here but 'père Noël' (father Noël or dad Noël).
Zero photoshoping for the whole photoshoot, excepting a slight crop sometimes :) And this, just because i use a great lens (50 mm 1.8 ) and a good (but not more) lightning :)
I know that the great photographers can do great pics with a smartphone, but the poor photographers (i am one of them) can do good pics with a great lens ;)
Cheers,
Jihan & Elle

Fantastic work!
A really lovely shoot my friend and the first one is also my favourite as it shows the Beauty of Elle in a classic portrait shot.
You do great work 8) and yes some good photographers can get good shots from a cell phone camera but half the time with stuff like that it is indeed luck.
The famous fashion and sports photographer Lord Litchfield said when asked how he got such good photos, his reply, “I get good shots because I simply take a lot of them, so one is going to be good lol.” And so I think that says a great deal in regards to photo shoots. With the last shoot of Alektra that Ev and I did, we took over 200 photos and I cropped that down to just about 16 for her gallery.
You keep up the great work my friend, you always make Elle look stunning! :)
Happy Holidays :)

Thanks guys :)

Yes, a lot of luck when taking pics, but (for the laymen) :
A lens is defined by 3 main parameters :
- the focal : 18mm, 35mm, 50mm ... A zoom is a varying focal from x to y. Important parameter to shoot inside or outside but will not determine the quality of the pic.
- the aperture : 1.0 (full aperture), 1.4, 1.8, 4.5, 5.6 ...
The LESS the value is, better is the lens, higher is the price ;)
- the quality of the lens (the glass) itself. Some trademark are better and we need to read the reviews of customers...
So if your camera is a SLR, you can change the lens, buy one with an aperture of 1.8 or less and your photography will improve without any effort ;)
