movie. If you guess the name of the movie, please post your answer. The game will end when the good answer has been found. If not sure, give it a try, no punishment expected in case of wrong answer ;) .

Gangs of New York was the first one that popped into my head, but I don't remember either of the scenes pictured.

If it isn't Gangs of New York, I'm afraid I'll need another clue.

The first scene is the attempt to kill the Butcher.
The 2nd scene is the final scene showing NewYork.

Ahah ! Don't think Elle has been traumatized by your quick guess just before Christmas ;) She had the game#10 ready to play, so let's go....

Hey guys, how about a bit of analysis before just blurting out the answer? Some descriptive commentary which led to the answer. Such as, this is the scene where ....... etc. or the date, period or location.

Elle works hard on these games. I think she deserves a fuller response. And as a player we believe we do to.

No problem :) , the give away pic for me was the second one with the grave scene which ends the film and looks across the bay. This is one of my favourite films and has some outstanding actors playing some very powerful parts.

The film is in part base on life in New York at that time, which coincided with the great potato famine in Ireland. I remember the scene where the immigrants were getting off the boat and then been drafted into the Union Army and sent to war, wow talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire. :jawdrop:

A very powerful and moving film.

Yes... and a very violent movie too :jawdrop: Not only violent because how easily they killed themselves , but violent because it just shows the truth of these years :O
