Hi CoverDollians.  It’s time for another fun episode of fun in the cooking zone with Chef Toy-R-Cees.  Now we have done previous episodes that centered on sweets, and with Valentine’s day on the approach, this month will follow suite.  Believe me, no girl can resist the magical draw of a chocolate fondue!  

Basic ingredients include heavy cream, chocolate, a little brandy, strawberries, bananas, sponge cake, (and anything else you might want to wish to coat with chocolate).  Mix the cream with the chocolate.  This can be done in a sauce pan over low heat, or in the microwave.  Stir the two together until it makes a thick paste.  You can use chocolate bars, but chips melt wonderfully for fondue.  You can thin it out a little with some Brandy.

 

While the coating is warming, you can slice up the fruit.  Bite size will make it fun for dipping.   We are going with the traditional strawberries, bananas, and sponge cake, but if you don’t like these, you could use most any fruit (or cake) that you do like.

Light the little heating candle and put the chocolate mixtue in the bowl that sits over it.  Then….just do like my sister Linda and I do in the following pictorial:

Linda:   Mmmmmmmmm!

 

 

Laura:   Mmmmmmmmm!

cameraman:  I wonder if we have any Cherries.

Linda:  Cherries?

Laura:  Cherry?

 

Both:  OH!!

 

 

Linda:  Are you thinking what I’m thinking?

Laura:  I’m way ahead of you!
