Meet Missy Simone

Missy is a tan JY150 with a JY#106 head. The JY150 fitness was designed by our own Anung Un Rama. I also enhanced her appearance with MannequinFan eyes and eyelids. The iris color is the MF-36 Hazel Fire. The wig is a KeeWig Synthetic Glazed Strawberry Blonde Wig Wavy With Pale Blonde Highlights KATE #R29S+.

Missy is my first doll. She arrived new in mid October 2018 and I quickly became obsessed with her. After immediately taking over my home, she embraced the south Florida lifestyle. Even in the winter, she spends her days at the beach, then goes out to the clubs at night. She eventually makes her way to the bedroom to complete the the day's activities.

Equipment

All photos were taken with a Samsung Galaxy S7 using portrait mode. I used a variety of lights, ranging from natural daylight, to a combination of house lamps including an LED desk lamp(I placed a couple of layers of wax paper over the LED to soften the light), halogen, and candlelight to light my photos. I resized the photos using Photoshop. I used Photoshop to also correct the color a little.

Note from the Editor: Each month we will feature a different photographer's work. We invite doll owners and manufacturers alike to participate in this new monthly feature. Photo shoots must meet a minimum quality level. If you do not meet that level we are happy to work with you, critique your photos and help you to raise the bar on your photography. Good photo shoots can be had with low cost digital cameras. It is all in the technique.

Great pictres of Missy, Grubhed.
This is a good demonstration that you don't need top of the line equipment and a studio to take great pictures.
I also recently upgraded my phone to a Samsung A8 and did some comparisons to my Cannon camera whis is a few years old.  Overall the Samsung pictures were better.
Using various halogen and LED lights from around the house help to spotlight areas and give shadows.
Then a quick topugh up with Photoshop to crop, and adjust brightnes, contras, and colour, and you have the makings of a great picture.

Thanks,
