Galentine’s Getaway: Theresa Visits Tasha for Work & Weekend Fun!

When your bestie comes to town for work, but you both know it’s really about the fun—magic happens! That’s exactly what went down when Theresa flew in for a business trip and decided to extend her stay for the ultimate Galentine’s adventure with me. From Philly city  sights to suburban nightlife, we turned a routine work trip into an unforgettable girls’ weekend

From Business to Bestie Time

Theresa knew I’d been going through a lot in my recent transitions to my new life and relationship roles. She, being the best bestie that she is, arrived midweek. Looking all business-chic and ready to crush her meetings. But let’s be real—I was (and so was she) already plotting the fun for after work hours. After she wrapped up her first day, we kicked things off with a fancy rooftop dinner overlooking the Philadelphia skyline, sipping craft cocktails and catching up on all the tea.

Tourist Mode Activated

Since Theresa had never really explored Philly, we spent the next day sightseeing like true tourists. From iconic historical landmarks to hidden gems, we hit all the must-sees. Of course, getting the one and only Philly cheesesteaks and soft pretzels. We snapped selfies at the famous downtown murals, indulged in some serious retail therapy at local boutiques, and stopped at a trendy café for some much-needed fuel (hello, extra-large lattes and the fluffiest croissants ever!).

Suburban Nightlife: A Vibe of Its Own

By the weekend, it was time to take things up a notch. The city was fun, but the real party? The local bars and clubs in the suburbs, where the vibes are more relaxed, the DJs spin throwback hits, and the cocktails don’t cost a small fortune.

We started with dinner at a cozy, dimly lit wine bar, sipping our way through the best house selections. Then, we made our way to a buzzing lounge, where we danced to old-school R&B and even convinced the DJ to throw in a Beyoncé set (because, obviously).

The grand finale? A late-night stop at a 24-hour diner, laughing over pancakes and reliving the night’s best moments before heading home to REALLY connect.

Sundays Are for Brunch & Goodbye Hugs

No Galentine’s weekend is complete without brunch, so we wrapped up our adventure with bottomless mimosas and the fluffiest French toast. Between the inside jokes, deep convos, and inevitable “we need to do this again” promises, it was the perfect ending to a perfect visit.

Theresa may have come to town for work, but she left with a heart (and phone) full of memories.

Until next time, bestie!
