Doll News Monthly (June 2025)

Body:

Hello and welcome to Doll News Monthly.

So this month we are going to go back to talking about dolls becoming more and more realistic looking and feeling.
Over the last like year or so here we have seen quite the increase in 3d body scanning and now molding real skin textures right into the dolls.
I have done a couple of articles on this already but this month we are going to showcase another brand.

This month we will talk about FunWest and there future plans to upgrade there more popular models into what most companies are calling V2.0 models.
In this article we will talk about there 158A Cup model.
This model was a great body shape to start with but FunWest took all there input from users and have not only improved many things and features of the doll but also have incorporated the newer human based skin texture into there molds..

This new 2.0 model has improved shape and range of motion in parts of the dolls skeleton like the hips by using newer geared type joints and changing up there foam cores they have been able to increase the range of motion allowing the 158A to have much better posing options when sitting or even for sexual use ..
I found this to be a huge improvement and I am sure future buyers will notice the change in range of motion as well in these areas..
The body now has added human skin texture and in the photos you can really see it..
The painted on details are much more nicer and the doll has a very nice realistic look to it..

So as normal I asked the company to tell me a little bit about this new 2.0 upgrade and this is what they said..

On March 21, 2025, Funwest Doll released version 2.0 of their silicone 159A body. Building upon the 1.0 version, the 2.0 update features ultra-realistic skin textures and an improved areola design based on market feedback, resulting in a more lifelike appearance. The net weight of the 159A 2.0 body alone is 34kg, and approximately 37kg with the head attached—about 3kg heavier than the 1.0 version.

Many beginners are confused about why the weight differs between the standard version and the textured skin version, even though the body shape remains the same. The key reason is that the standard and textured versions are produced using entirely different molds. Even a slight variation of one millimeter can significantly affect the final weight.

So lets start with the range of motion in the hip area..
here is a photo of the change FunWest made..

As you can see this will allow the legs to come up more towards the dolls chest allowing for better sexual poses and sitting poses ..
This is a great improvement and im happy to see this.

Now lets look at the difference between the older version and the newer 2.0 version..
Below is a photo showing the two different versions..

Its quite shocking at the difference between the two.
Just the painted on details alone really make a huge improvement in the looks of the doll but then when you look closer you can see the actual skin details and its just a really large improvement.

Below are some photos that FunWest sent me of there skin details .

So as you can see if this kind of realism keeps up you wont be able to tell if that is a real persons body or a doll.
Its really getting this good..
This last year has been a great year for innovations and improvements of features on dolls of all brands..
Its great to see that FunWest is also starting to upgrade there dolls with these really amazing features and I don't know about you , But I am very excited to see what the future brings for the doll industry.

If you would like to check out any of these great creations from FunWest I will include a link to there website and a link to there Doll Forum page..
