Meet Ariella... The Doll: Amongst SEDOLL's most popular TPE dolls, is their 161cm F-cup Tracy.B. Having chanced upon her one Wintry Morning, she has become a part of me as I am just as much a part of her. She is affectionately named Ariella, a name which has become synonymous with my own Doll handle name. Despite having now own multiple dolls, Ariella is still the one I love to photograph the most. It's definitely been my pleasure to have become Ariella's photographer for close to 2 full years now. Each time the shutter goes off, time stops for just an instant, capturing the Magical World of Ariella. The Shoot: Since it is for the October Coverdoll issue, I decided to add a bit of the seasonal decor to my photos. I had planned for a special cosplay costume which ended up not arriving on time, as of this moment, I dont even know if I'll receive it before Halloween is over. This actually put a lot of damper into my mood for the two months leading to the deadline. Still, in the end, I am quite happy with what I was able to put together. A stylistic choice I chose due to my limited location of shoot is pushing the doll skeletons to their absolute limit to achieve poses that are not seen often by other photographers. Sometimes, being limited in options does bring out the creative mind. The Gear: I don't have much for photography equipment as they are quite pricey. My photos are all shot with my personal Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. For lighting and props, working inside just my room, I went with the usual Japanese styled room divider as a backdrop, adorned with Rose vines and strips of LED lights set to violet. Paired that with two soft boxes to light up my room sufficiently to allow for clearer photos through the use of my phone camera. Ariella

Note from the Editor: Each month we will feature a different photographer's work. We invite doll owners and manufacturers alike to participate in this new monthly feature. Photo shoots must meet a minimum quality level. If you do not meet that level we are happy to work with you, critique your photos and help you to raise the bar on your photography. Good photo shoots can be had with low cost digital cameras. It is all in the technique.
