Meet Kya My Doll: I’d like to introduce to you my WM 172B #266. Kya is the second doll I own and has been with me for nearly a year, although her body is 2 years old, and has had a couple of repair/upgrades over that time, most noticeably the finger wires, body paint and prosthetic teeth. The shoot: Titled Welcome Home. I felt like getting back to some basic’s with this session. Concentrating more on simple poses and shadow play with a relaxed attitude. Something that plays on a chilled out night at home. Her outfit is a sheer nighty, well worn and old favorite with a pair of our oldest stockings, runs and ladders in all. The Equipment: Now I’m absolutely no photographer, the best descriptor for what I do would be hobbyist and doll enthusiast photographer. So equipment up until recently was lacking. I use an iPhone 11 Pro Max. A ring light with adjustable brightness and tone. And a tripod with Bluetooth remote. Amazing that such simple tools can produce a photo that can bring these girls to life and capture the artistic beauty that they are.
