October - and Good Vibrations.

Body:

From last months Gold to this months Gothic. The idea coming from the logo on our new vibrator. We thank son of muz for the background and pale skin tone. He remarked the pose is a bit like Tash is singing to a microphone, but no, she is caressingly admiring our new toy - double the batteries so twice the fun - a bigger and longer lasting buzz for our buck so to speak. Smile Luv It.

(Note: our own effort at Gothic, with clone stamp and filters - mainly water colour & wave - is shown at end of blog. We have difficulty with layers. Just goes to show how different the exact same photo can look).

Now, speaking of vibrators, do you remember back in September 2009, when we were two thirds our way through some trivial sex facts, we mentioned Vibrators?

No, probably not, we know we live in an age of information overflow (In, bend over, cough, Out, Next please). :?

Well anyway, for centuries some medical conditions known as female hysteria were treated by Physicians and Doctors with genital stimulation to orgasm. You can read all about this for yourselves. Worth the read as all quite amusing & interesting.

I wonder, did dollyfrome do a review of this movie?

But as you know we generally like to look between the lines, so consider:

1. While we accept many 'hysterical' conditions had other causes (schizophrenia for one) there is little doubt male dominance and the sexual repression & subjugation of women throughout the ages has been the cause of many of the problems. If the practice had been of no benefit whatsoever why and how could it have survived for centuries from the ancient greek to the Victorian era - with women keeping on going back for treatment? Surprised

2. Throughout the Middle ages Monks were the primary Physicians of the times - Enough said.

3. The fact that the practice of 'stress relieving' of women by physicians and Doctors for hysteria was considered necessary and a need .......... then it does not put men & husbands in a good light to meet those needs. Good at impregnation perhaps but the tool of the trade to easily and adequately provide full satisfaction is, quite frankly, hopelessly inadequate. Intelligent design - We think not. Considering both the possible short and long lifetime consequences of intercourse, from a woman's point of view, the act hardly makes the brief encounter worthwhile. Thinking about that, it may well explain why, after childbirth, a great number of women in a great number of cultures, with nothing further to gain make themselves as unattractive as they can.

4. The increase and growing affluence of the middle class in the 18th and 19th centuries gave a corresponding increase in the professional services sought of Physicians. When the Doctors started to complain that the practice of treating 'Hysteria' gave them chronic wrist, arm and finger ache and it took too long so they could not attend more patients in a day, thus losing income (hence the invention and development of the vibrator) it raises the thought: Clearly for that to have happened there must have been a lot of women queueing at the doctors surgery waiting to be treated. Just one or two occasionally visiting would not have sparked such a revolution.

All we can say is, Thank goodness for self medication - available at your adult sex store .... today.

Still feels good though - You should try it ).

Thank you Dolltime, that was enlightening!  Now we need a treatise on -- what is the male equivalent of female hysteria? -- male horniness? -- its history, and how it was solved by the invention of adult dolls.
