About the Photographer

I would like to title this photo set,( sisters & friends )My Screen name is "dodgeman" Dolls names are (Jenny/blonde hair and Stephanie/brown hair)

My camera is a panasonic lumix dmc-fh24 and I use a tripod whenever possible! The camera is very small (size of a cigarette pack) but has many advanced features and will shoot at 16 mp! I use 5 mp to keep the files smaller for posting on TDF! I am still discovering what the camera can do, even after having it for two years! I use two light stands built from two large tripods and use 6500k light bulbs in them! They are not fancy but they work good for now! I do not have very many props for photography, but with some creativity, anything is possible! Indoor photos are what I can do for now, but outdoor photos are not far away! Taking photos has always been part of my life, mostly when doing projects and building race cars and fabrication, however when my dolls arrived at home, my interest in capturing their incredible beauty in photos was an absolute must!

My goal is to do the best that I can to bring a sense of life and realism to my dolls and their photos show it well! Many of the fine compliments that I received on TDF have centered on how alive and natural my girls look! That is a good feeling and tells me that I must be doing something right! I do not profess to be a photographer, I am a picture taker as I have told everyone! Most of my time is consumed in full time work and my side business of metal fabrication! Then there is property maintenance and upkeep, vehicle and equipment service and so on!

I am a cancer survivor and on my second chance at life and grateful for it! I want to have nice photos of my beautiful dolls for all of those times when life throws bad things at you and your spirits need lifted! Having these beautiful dolls here and seeing them in photos brings out the emotions in me and warms my heart! Please Enjoy these photos as they bring great joy to me every day!!

Cheers dodgeman.

Note from the Editor: Each month we will feature a
different photographer's work. We invite doll owners and manufacturers
alike to participate in this new monthly feature. Photo shoots must meet
a minimum quality level. If you do not meet that level we are happy to
work with you, critique your photos and help you to raise the bar on
your photography. Good photo shoots can be had with low cost digital
cameras. It is all in the technique.
