The Sounds of Christmas

It is the start of the Holiday Season here at the SpaceMall. Everyone is getting ready for all of the festive celebrations and presents, of course, and the Music! For what is the season with out it's music and everyone loves Christmas Songs! This is especially true for the Malls' Winter Activities Coordinator, Bunny. Her joy for the season and love of music was infectious. You couldn't spend more then a minute in her presence with being filled with the pure innocence and joy that flowed from her heart. Everyone agreed that when it came to naughty or Nice, Little Bunny was the nicest person you could know!

 We start our story with our heroine soundly asleep, dreaming of holiday joys and music , how Bunny loves music!

 Suddenly, there in her room appeared the strangest little creature. It looked like a mouse but dressed like an elf and was way to big to squeeze through any regular mouse hole. (we here at the SpaceMall would like to point out that we passed our last health Inspection!, now back to the story). This strange little creature crept up to our sleeping beauty and began whispering in her ear. "Bunny wake up" It whispered several times. Suddenly Bunny snaps a wake, see's these little glowing eyes and whiskers and pow, smacks it with a pillow!!

 Stop please, the little creature pleads! Now Bunny's sight has adjusted to the dim light and she is amazed to see a rather large mouse dressed in a Santa suit. In a squeaky voice he begins to tell her a story. He says, I am Marty, a Christmas Mouse, and I have been sent to find someone special. Someone who is filled with the joy of Christmas and the love of music. It seems, he continues, that the Spirit of Christmas Music was so depressed after  the October blog celebrating Halloween with a "Special Tribute" band that he has stopped spreading the joy one gets at this time of year from listening to Christmas carols. If his condition doesn't improve soon then people will stop listening and singing Christmas songs. If that happens then it will sour everyone towards the season.

 Shocked to hear this story, Bunny offers her help and will do what ever was required to restore the joy of Christmas Music! Marty says, just hold my hand or better yet hold me and we will be magically teleported to the Singing Forest. In a blur Bunny finds herself in a winter wonderland of snow and ice crystals. Marty, who seemed to have been overjoyed by the experience of being so close to the warm and soft and sweet smelling Bunny that he forgot his mission and even left a gift behind before they departed. Sliding down from bunny's grasp, Marty thinks to himself...I have never seen of felt anything quite as nice as Bunny!

 Marty! Marty!...Marty snaps out of it. Sorry Bunny what is it. Marty, I don't know if you noticed but I am practical naked (you bet he noticed) and it is very, very cold here. With a whisk of his whiskers, snap, and Bunny is in her favorite winter outfit all warm and snug. Sorry, Marty says to her, I was so involved in the...mission, yes that's right the mission, I forgot how cold it is here.

 Bunny looks around and says, its very pretty but why is it called the singing forest, I hear nothing? Marty looks at her and says that this is just the start of the symptoms...that the silence will grow and spread from here until it drowns out the music every where! What can I do, says Bunny. Marty tells her that if her belief is strong enough, then between herself and aided with his magic they might be able to get the Spirit of Christmas Music to come forth. So they begin to call forth using the magic phrase needed. "I believe" , and the Spirit of Gold pops up, "I believe", up pops Silver and one more time, "I Believe" and up pops the Spirit of Christmas Music. As the Spirit turns and observes the beautiful and innocent Bunny, his heart is warmed and he starts to sing...the Forest lights up and once again the sounds of Music could be heard!

 This is all to much for Bunny as she is over come with exhaustion and begins to collapse. Gold and Silver grab her and she gently falls to her knees. The Spirit of

Music tells Bunny that she is the one he has been waiting for. Strong in the power of Music, she is. Go and bring the joy of Christmas Music to the world, he says! But Bunny is confused, Spirit of Christmas, Bunny says, I am just a small person, how can I bring Christmas Music to the world? Won't I need a band and a place to play?  Rise up my child and take my bag of musical toys. Marty will bring you to your next destination and all will become clear to you then. And with that Bunny and Marty are gone. Music takes Gold and Silvers hands and as they walk off he tells them that they will make some beautiful music together now.

 In a flash Bunny finds herself and Marty back at the SpaceMall of all places. Much to Bunny's surprise she meets Marty's wife, Martha Mouse, and is astonished to find the place is all prepared for a musicial show. But were is the band she asks? Both Marty and Martha smile at Bunny and said, why in the bag silly. Those are all magical musical toys and will come out if you wish really hard. Sure enough as Bunny pours all of her Christmas energy into one big wish, the bag grows 10 times in size and one by one the band steps forth and takes their places! Is that it says Bunny, no says Marty, we have one special gift just for you! Thus the SpaceMall was once again filled with the music of the band "The Toys" filled the air with the sounds of the season!!
