Meet Leah Jonelle

The Doll:

My Girl

The love of my life.

Soft spoken, understated. A bit shy. Loves hugs, snuggling, a complex Zinfandel. Oh and yes, The Beatles, when she's not listening to Steely Dan.

Cherishes a cool, rainy day as much as a hot summer one.

Italian food always works.

Feline companionship is preferred, though she loves all animals.

Leah Jonelle Antra 6ye 165 B, with an N52 head.

I could never find the words to tell you what she is to me.

The Shoot:

Shot over approximately 5 weeks from late June to end of July. The most fortunate benefactors of influences that drove us to improve on all levels. We did our very best to learn and improve, thanks to our friends we think we have delivered the finest photos of Leah that we are capable of. There were moments during the creating of this set that we were so far beyond our capabilities that we leaned on our friends hard. Our first intention with this set was to show it as eclectic and diverse, we hope you find it all that. It pushed us to our limits and though they are clearly visible in our less than perfect photos, we have surely improved and that was the mark we aimed at.

The Gear:

All photos taken on a Canon T6 with the kit lens 18-55 lens with the exception of 1 or 2 taken on my friend Feck's 50mm prime lens. Lighting is mostly natural but I do use a Promaster 680B light on a tripod and an LED worklight to try to help things look better.

Note from the Editor: Each month we will feature a different photographer's work. We invite doll owners and manufacturers alike to participate in this new monthly feature. Photo shoots must meet a minimum quality level. If you do not meet that level we are happy to work with you, critique your photos and help you to raise the bar on your photography. Good photo shoots can be had with low cost digital cameras. It is all in the technique.
