Fields of Flowers

Trailer Trash Queens

Bar Fly's and other assorted estimated thigh gaps

Hello everyone, This project and series of image creations I have embarked on was spawned after Swan ask me to do a CoverDoll feature. Thank you Swan for being the spark!

Funny how inspiration works. How many of us need something to shoot for in order to come up with a narrative?

Well in this case it was Swanny's pm that started the wheels turning.

As I mentioned before in my Family Jewels thread, the Fields of Flowers and the Trailer Trash Queens are going to be included in these themes for the feature. My luminosity focus on most images is backlighting and rim lighting. The theme "Fields of Flowers" suggests a serene and natural environment, potentially providing a backdrop for my dolls in a peaceful, sensual and picturesque setting. This theme can hopefully evoke feelings of sexy beauty, tranquility, and harmony.

On the other hand, "Trailer Trash Queens" presents a contrasting theme that involves exploring unconventional beauty, individuality, or even challenging societal norms. It has and will offer an opportunity to depict characters with unique stories and aesthetics, adding an element of edginess and creativity to my project. Most of you know, I love edginess!

One more theme has been added to the mix. I feel that Bar Fly's will be another visually exciting topic to bring my dolls to living color.

The theme "Bar Fly" brings to mind a nightlife atmosphere, with its associations of bars, socializing, scamming, hustling, gossip and perhaps a sense of dark adventure. This theme provided me an opportunity to explore dynamic compositions, interesting interior lighting, and a bit of character interactions within a lively, colorful and vibrant setting.

It all starts here. The entire series thus far is here in the July CoverDoll! But for now...The fun is only just beginning. It won't stop at CoverDoll...

I can see these themes going quite the distance...at least for a while. I most certainly will be adding more themes as time passes and inspiration strikes. I find it very motivational to do works in a theme like this. I like to think that beneath every image creation here is a sort of love story that you all can identify with, or a story about how love can start with you and your doll.

After my initial spark of inspiration from Swanny’s request, I heard this song on the radio…Always one of my favorites!

The boys in the rock band Tonic are really good at crafting visuals with lyrics. This song served as part of my inspiration to create these narratives.

Please allow me to cherry pick some of the lyrics that inspired me.

If you could only see the way she loves me

Then maybe you would understand

Why I feel this way about our love

And what I must do

If you could only see how blue her eyes can be when she says

When she says she loves me

Seems the road less traveled

Shows happiness unraveled

And you gotta take a little dirt to keep what you love

That's what you gotta do.

Tonic

These lyrics from Tonic's song "If You Could Only See" convey a strong emotional message and served as inspiration for crafting my narratives. The lyrics emphasize the depth of love and the desire for understanding. Emerson Hart (the singer) suggests that if someone could see the way his partner loves him, they would comprehend the intensity of his feelings and the choices he has to make.

The mention of the blue eyes and the words spoken by the partner further emphasize the emotional connection and the significance of their love. The line about the road less traveled and taking a little dirt to keep what you love suggests that maintaining a strong relationship (in my case…to the art of creating with my dolls) requires effort and overcoming challenges.

Hopefully, these lyrics along with my images, provide you all with a foundation for storytelling and exploring themes of love, beauty, understanding, sacrifice, and perseverance. So many songs can serve as a starting point to create narratives that evoke similar emotions and delve into the complexities of human/doll relationships.

Please remember to experiment, have fun, lay in the dirt, ditch the tripod and let your imagination guide you as you bring these potential themes to life through your photography and image creations.

Photo shoots must meet a minimum quality level. If you do not meet that level we are happy to work with you, critique your photos and help you to raise the bar on your photography.
