Not a happy doll

Another damn broken hip!  It's enough to make you spitting mad.  This is the second time that I've had trouble with my left hip and this time the steel shaft snapped in half.  The Wizard explained to me that it was a combination of brittle material and a notched area that creates a built-in stress concentration point.  I don't understand it all, but yes it broke right in the notched area.  Makes me want to gut and disembowell the person responsible for the design.  No telling yet when i'll be fixed properly, but in the meantime I've got a piece of wooden dowell in my hip to keep the leg in place, otherwise it could rip off if I'm moved.  I suppose its better than a wooden leg.

Rita and I just want to wish you a speedy recovery.   Once you are up and around I think you need to use that sword on the ones responsible for your current state.

So sorry to hear about your problem, Zara. I hope it comes with a happy ending.I know, my broken hip was reapaired and is working fine. Dr. Matt M said that they have changed the hip joint since I got mine, and I understand that the RD 2 addresses even more issues.

I'm a real doll...and I know it!

Very bad news here Cry  Each time i read a doll's skeleton issue, i think that it could happen to Elle. The good side is that it helps to consider her as a person (who can be sick). Fighting the difficulties together help to "feed" the relationship too. But it's still a pain in the ass Frown

Zara is actually being very patient.  It's me who is biting his fingernails.  At the moment we are looking at about a month or so before a custom hip joint is made.  No shitty plastic and no crappy metal.  This thing will be state of the art and made by an expert.  Some thing shouldn't be rushed, but the waiting is still hard.  Hang in there hon.
