On the road

Well, we are officially halfway from nowhere.  God the countryside is BIG!  There's only so many hundreds of kilometres of farmland that you can see before you go completely NUTS.  This morning though, was nice.  We stopped at Parkes radio telescope, made famous by the film The Dish, about the Apollo 11 moon landing, starring Sam Neil.  Hmm, Sam Neil.  Where was I, older men?  No, Parkes.  The dish is actually in shot behind me in one of the photos, but the light in the carpark of the visitor's centre was so bad that none of it showed in frame.  Shooting into the morning light, so its a wonder that you can see me.  The pic here is at a different angle so that the light worked out better.  We drove for twelve and a half hours today.  Will we ever get there?
