So over the years minor changes have been made to the mixtures of Silicone.
Maybe different pigment systems to improve the color and matting agents to help reduce shine that is often a byproduct from silicone .
I would say the largest change to silicone based dolls was over two decades ago when Platinum based silicones took the place of Tin Cured silicone.
Well over the last few years companies have been working on there silicone mixtures to improve many aspects of the dolls such as softness or durability.
But recently a company known for there innovation in doll technology decided to get all chemist on us and worked to reformulate silicone based mixtures.
The end results have very promising features..
The company I speak of is Zelex.
Zelex came into the doll industry a few years back and have really taken the market by storm.
There release of new models and heads are shockingly often and they seem to be constantly innovating to improve there products and keep there prices competitive.
So what exactly am I talking about here?
Well Zelex did some major changes to the formulation of silicone and created a new form or mixture of silicone that not only improved the softness and elastic properties but also reduce the cost of the end product while using this new mixture and production process.
They call this new mixture SLE ..
So I reached out to Zelex and asked them a few questions about this new silicone mixture and below is some of the information they gave me.
The meaning of SLE is S: Safe, L: Less-vinyl, E: Elastomer. The newly developed SLE material, while possessing a soft touch, also exhibits excellent durability.
The SLE series of dolls produced are absolutely safe and non-toxic, fully meeting customers' demands for dolls.
Due to the optimized formula in the production of raw materials, the SLE material is lightweight and elastic, giving the new series of dolls a vibrant and healthy look.
Every touch on the skin provides an unparalleled feel, akin to the bounciness of pudding. Moreover, the SLE material is resilient, allowing the vagina to create a gentle enveloping sensation, letting you enjoy a lifelike sexual experience.SLE is an improved platinum silicone material with high strength, high elasticity.
It's non-toxic and odorless.
SLE is a material obtained by reducing the proportion of vinyl material in the production process of traditional platinum silicone in order to enhance the elasticity of platinum silicone, and at the same time, changing the production method to compensate for the reduction in strength caused by the reduction in the proportion of vinyl material used.
Compared with traditional silicone, SLE has better elasticity, about 1.5 to 2 times the elasticity of traditional silicone, and also the strength is basically the same as that of traditional silicone, with no significant reduction, which can bring better sex experience than traditional silicone (better sense of wrapping, and can be pumped strongly when lubricant is applied).At the same time, as SLE adopts US/EU warehouse in stock sales model, it greatly reduces transportation cost, allowing customers to get better sex experience product at a lower price.
So you are probably wondering the same things I was , How do we really know that this SLE silicone is more stretchy or will serve a better material for dolls?
Well Zelex explained to me how there equipment they use test the elasticity of rubber based materials by stretching it to a determined length and then showing the amount of strength it took to stretch it..
Below are images using this equipment to do these test..
The white non tinted silicone chunk is standard Platinum Silicone and the tanned color chunk is the new SLE formula.
By looking at these photos below you can see the before stretched is zero on the scale and then both versions stretched the same distance producing almost half the effort or strength to stretch it.
Pretty impressive stuff ..
Since the release of these new dolls Zelex has made even more changes to improve the SLE mix and the way the dolls are created useing this new silicone mix.
From what I have seen I can not visually see any differences that might detour from how traditional silicone dolls look so this is great as it seems the main benefits are from the softness and elastic properties that SLE offers.

Now I do own some Zelex based dolls but at the moment I do not own one of these newer SLE based dolls from Zelex so I figured what might be the best thing to do is simply ask some friends of mine that I know that have one or more of these SLE based dolls and ask what they think about the SLE material ..
Here are some answers from random friends with there names removed for privacy ..
Soft, full silicone details. base color is the skin color.
SLE is really soft too, and jiggly. and surface details.Right out of the box there is a noticeable increase in softness over my previous standard silicone doll. The combo of gel boobs and softer silicone mean best doll boobs I've ever felt. Also the newer tan color is also the perfect mix of skin tone.
Details in the private parts are some of the best at this cost.
She is sooooo much softer then my other silicone girls.
So most of the people I asked about there SLE dolls the most common responses where about the softness that the SLE has over traditional silicone dolls.
Of course many other manufactures are making softer silicone mixes as well so over all what we can take from all of this is that many doll brands are innovating newer formulas of silicone to improve the future dolls we may purchase.
Again I have said this many times to people but I believe we are in some great times at the moment when it comes to the doll community as advancements and innovations are really starting to take off and the future of dolls is looking quite bright.
In addition to all of this Silicone advancements Zelex adopted a different manufacturing method for these newer SLE based dolls..
All of the SLE line are pre configured bodies that you simply pick the body you want and skin tone and then a head and all of these are often ready and in stock in your country so you get the dolls very fast without production wait times .
This reduces the cost of shipping and time consuming custom orders allowing Zelex to sell these great dolls at a much lower price ..
In conclusion my thoughts on this entire doll line is a very positive one..
I think not only is it great that we are seeing advancements in materials being used to create newer dolls but also new methods lowering the price of these dolls to much lower prices giving those that have always wished to have a full sized silicone doll the opportunity to afford one..
