Time has come for the concluding part of Kari's story. It covers the time from where part II ended and all the way to present day.

Winter is a perfect season for indoor activities like doll photography. But I had a problem, I didn't have a proper camera. Only an old cheap sorry thing and a webcam which pictures shot with looked horrible. It was time to enter the exiting world of digital photography. I ordered a Canon IXUS 100 IS.

This is one of Kari's first shots:

At that time I did not know about the doll communities very existence. That changed November the 6th 2007. That's the day I discovered The Doll Album and signed up for my Doll Forum account. Finding a user name was all but easy. I twisted my brain for several hours before the idea of using my first name spelled backwards showed up. The user RaDiv was born. I started uploading my pictures instantly.

Here's the very first uploaded picture of Kari.

first upload.

The viewers gave Kari a warm welcome. I was surprised to see her pictures getting many views. That's what's been keeping my interest for doll photography up for so long. With the discovery of The Doll Forum I discovered the exiting world of dolls. I had to give in for the temptation of buying another doll. In april 2008 my first Boy Toy arrived. Kari had a serious opponent, a doll that could be handled with ease and the constant fear of tearing was gone. As a result of the new arrival Kari was spending more and more time in her closet. My harem has grown since then and Kari is hardly out of her closet these days.

I'm not sure what to do with her. She needs some repair here and there. Her fingers are mauled, she's got tears under her arms and feet and her labia must be re-glued. I've got adhesive and 2-part silicone but I'm very good at pushing things I should have done before me.

Kari is a perfect doll for a first time buyer but I won't part with her in the condition she is now.

Well. This is it. Thank you for taking your time reading this. I appreciate that.

Sincerely RaDiv

Thanks for sharing with us all, my friend and how you came up with your online name.

I always think a picture speaks a thousand words, and you have really expressed your feeling in your photos. I hope you keep Kari with you.

CoverDoll Publisher To err is human to forgive divine.

it was an interesting and moving story but i hope you'll not part with Kari, it would be sad end :) I like Kari since the beginning maybe because she is B2F8 like Elle and same generation of dolls.
The repairs she needs seem to be minor and she deserves you make them and keep her ;)

Thanks for sharing about Kari. I enjoyed it but please keep her. However,if you do have to sell her then her new owner will be one happy guy.

I have no plans for parting with her in known future. My thought was that instead of just hanging in the closet Kari could have a better life with a new owner.

Yes it is hard looking after multiple dolls and giving us all the attention we deserve.

We are lucky in that respect.

Cheers ....... The dolltime girls

Kari's story sounds a bit like Ceilidh's. I bought Ceilidh about a year before joining the forum, and we joined on the same day.

Kari is still a wonderful doll. And hey! she's not that old.  I'm the opposite of her, I'm a product of the forum, otherwise the Wizard would never have found me.  Go TDF!
