" The Killer Inside Me"

"As Reported by Dollyforme"

Yea – I know what I want for Christmas under my tree – Jessica Alba. Ummmm yum.
Yep a bisexual gal like me needs to chew on a taco sometime and her taco is all mine.
I’d catch her under the Mistletoe any time.

What do you call a Hooker in a Santa Claus Outfit? A Ho Ho ho !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For some strange reason, Jessica Alba starred in this Redbox rental – “The Killer Inside Me.” Based on the 1950’s novel by legendary pulp writer Jim Thompson, Michael Winterbottom's, 'The Killer Inside Me' tells the story of handsome, charming, unassuming small town sheriff's deputy Lou Ford, who comes in contact with a prostitute in his capacity of deputy.

Yes – Jessica Alba play the prostitute. It turns out to be a very unexpected and violent encounter which leads to them falling in love with each other and initiating a peculiar relationship of a somewhat sadomasochistic nature.

But Lou has a bunch of problems. Woman problems. Law enforcement problems. An ever-growing pile of murder victims in his West Texas jurisdiction. And the fact he's a sadist, a psychopath, a killer.

We learn how he came in contact with sadomasochism and started developing dark sides of his personality at quite a young age.

Suspicion begins to fall on Lou, and it's only a matter of time before he runs out of alibis. But in Thompsons savage, bleak, blacker than noir universe nothing is ever what it seems and it turns out that the investigators pursuing him might have a secret of their own.

Now, numerous filmmakers have attempted to adapt Thompson's novel into a film since the mid-1950s. 20th Century-Fox originally optioned the project as a possible starring vehicle for Marilyn Monroe around 1956, with Monroe starring as Joyce Lakeland. Marlon Brando was attached to star as Lou Ford. Elizabeth Taylor was considered at the time for the role of Amy Stanton. After Monroe's unexpected death on August 5, 1962, the project was shelved. A film adaption was eventually made in 1976, with Stacy Keach as Lou Ford and Susan Tyrell as Joyce Lakeland.

In the mid-1980s, there was another attempt to adapt the book into a film, with Tom Cruise as Lou Ford, Brooke Shields as Amy Stanton, and Demi Moore as Joyce Lakeland. The project was shelved. In the mid-1990s, after the success of Pulp Fiction, Quentin Tarantino was attached to direct the project. Uma Thurman was set to star as Amy Stanton. Juliette Lewis was considered for the part of Joyce Lakeland and Brad Pitt was attached to star as Lou Ford. This effort fell through after the September 11 attacks, because the film script was too violent. Tarantino scrapped everything and started from scratch. In 2003 Andrew Dominik wrote a highly stylized screenplay, and was at one point to direct it. He hoped the film would star Leonardo DiCaprio as Lou Ford, Charlize Theron as Amy Stanton and Drew Barrymore as Joyce Lakeland.

Dominik lost interest in doing a film adaptation of a 1950s novel and instead chose to film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Then Marc Rocco stepped in, and wanted to cast Casey Affleck as Lou Ford, Reese Witherspoon as Amy Stanton and Maggie Gyllenhaal as Joyce
Lakeland.

With this movie, you should expect the unexpected all along this story until the very end. For a dollar, I was entertained – Jessica Alba is as hot as always and gave the role some good believable acting.

So – run, don’t walk to your nearest Redbox machine and rent this flick intime to put Jessica Alba under your Christmas tree.

Hired the movie and just watched. A dollar 20 these days.

Sadomasochistic is putting it mildly. Don't want to spoil for others who have not seen it but be warned, IOO it is brutal and the attraction of women to bad men uncomfortably true to life.
