1. Arrival:

After a long 11 hour flight from London’s Heathrow International, I finally arrived in San Diego in the good old USA, around 20 hour of travel time in total. What can I say “WOW!!” I think the saying in San Diego is “Welcome to San Diego 365 Days of pure (Ahhh!!!)” I was staying at the Holiday Inn on the Bay; north harbour drive a free transportation bus was available to and from the airport hotel courtesy of the hotel. The room was clean, large and with a wonderful view.

(It’s Wicked !!!! )

I think I made the right choice there's lots to do and see in San Diego, which made the trip a success. The transportation to Abyss was easy using the Coaster and Sprinter from San Diego to San Marcos, cost around $16.00 USD return, then taxi from San Marcos to Abyss $14.00.

2. The Trip and Tour Around Abyss:

The day had arrived; Tuesday 24th June 08 was tour day! This was whole purpose of the trip to visit The Manufacture of Abyss Creations Realdoll and Purchase My Dream Doll.

Upon arrival I was greeted by Amanda my guide for the tour. I found Amanda really easy and pleasant to talk to. She introduced me to all the staff, Steve in Parts, Derek in Make up, also Debra the manager, David and Erick in production and of course the owner Matt McMullen, back in product and development.

3. News:

The news from Abyss is that there is a new “Male Doll” in development with the face x system, plus a brand new “Female Realdoll 2” in Development at this present time. I have seen part of the new male doll and it’s a vast improvement. The doll will be lighter but one word to sum it up is (Adonis) he has a wonderful physique.

On other news, four dolls went to the CSI Show CSI New York this year, also one doll was purchased for a TV show called (My Name Is Earl) for future up coming episodes.

There are to be eight pre order costumes available for Halloween, order through the Realdoll website. These will be available until September 1st 08.

Abyss is now also selling Adjustable stands which are neat light and simple to move around. Pricing available from Abyss on request.

4. Choice of Doll:

Well to the important part for me. I have now ordered my Doll she is a B7 / F8. It has taken me quite some time to decide. The Doll Forum was a great help in making my decision and where I found a great amount of useful information.

I am going to name my doll after the American City State of California, Miss San Diego.

I will now be changing my nickname from Pittbull to Miss San Diego and attaching a new avatar to go with the name.

5. Summing up:

For anyone thinking of purchasing a Realdoll these Dolls are “Stunning” in my opinion. Also to me seem well made and robust and with Matt McMullen back in product & development and new improvements on the way, I am confident that I will receive a doll of superb perfection. I will keep everyone posted on TDF but now all that’s left to say is, “thank you to everyone at Abyss,” you make a great team. I was very impressed with Abyss, the team and the tour. In my opinion the whole trip and tour was well worth the money.
