Meet Eva

Eva is a Private Island Beauties TPE Island Girl with the Eden Head. She came to live with me in February 2019 and is a pleasure to photograph; some days she has a real sparkle in her eyes. I am really in love with her sculpting; at the right angle she can look quite realistic, and that's what I tried to capture in these photos. For this shoot Eva wore a creamy vintage nightgown we found on Ebay which inspired us to attempt some pin-up inspired shots, especially in the coloring. All these shots were photographed with available light, mostly sunlight through our bedroom window and some LED string lights in the background.

Equipment

I shot these with a Canon 6D DSLR with 50mm and 85mm prime lenses wide open at f1.8 with ISOs ranging between 100 and 3200. Some I shot on a tripod, but I prefer to shoot handheld because it's much faster, but the trade off is having to shoot at higher ISOs with more noise. I loved some of the resulting grainier B/W shots. I shoot camera RAW and enjoy playing around with different looks in Adobe Camera RAW. I added quite a bit of contrast to most of these shots, pulled up the shadows and played around with a range of saturation settings. I did a little cleanup in Photoshop on some of her wounds, and removed the bolts from the bottom of her feet in one shot.

I'm honored to be asked to submit photos to Coverdoll! There are so many talented photographers on this forum with such a wide variety of styles. I am constantly inspired to try new techniques and learn more about photography. I hope you enjoy looking at these photos as much as we enjoyed taking them.
