Mishka's Studio - February- Indoors in the Cottage

Welcome to February!

It was pretty nice and warm outside when I took these pics, temps were well into the 70's, but I had to remain indoors to finish a promo shoot, so that meant plenty of sexy poses on the bed. For this set, I used more of the available natural light offered by the upstairs cottage room, and a nice bed for the doll to be posed on.

I used a flash strobe set on low power, and used it mostly to fill in shadows and reduce shadows adjacent the doll while she leaned against walls. The strobe was aimed high and was intended to bounce light off the ceiling. The extra light provided the backfill I needed. The camera was always set to a slightly warm setting and I would try not to use the tripod as that makes my poses to limited. I prefer handheld and shoot more pictures more candidly that way. I also set a shutter to around 1/30sec, but with VR on, so as to reduce camera shake at that setting. Also, I have the F-stop at around F5.6 to get more detail. Some advice - I would not use lenses with advertised F-stops of <2.8  set to wide open because detail falls apart rapidly, so most lenses work best with slightly closed Iris' for best resolution.

This doll is a 6YE doll with a shorter stature, but she is rather heavy, and some would call thicc. I really like her as she photos really well, and being smaller, is posable in difficult situations. She also has a ball-jointed skeleton which enables extreme bends other's cannot do.
