Ra King of the Sun and Ruler of the Gods - Unexpected Guest

The Set:

Classic boxed set, just like all the other Egyptian Gods released by Phicen. He is very heavy and although large feet, his staff is an asset to keeping him standing. Two heads and everything but his arm bands are already on him. He is a very handsome figure. I had him out of the box and fully dressed in less then 30 mins.

Back Ground Description:

He was often considered the king of the gods and was thus the patron god of the pharaoh and one of the main gods in the ancient Egyptian pantheon.Ra was regarded as the one who created everything and he was very powerful and popular. He was worshiped all throughout ancient Egypt. Ra was believed to rule in all parts of the created world: the sky, the Earth , and the underworld . He was the god of the sun, order, kings, and the sky. He was most commonly depicted as a sun god who wore the sun disk on his head,also represented as a man with a hawk head and shared characteristics with the sky god Horus .

The Uninvited Guest

When you rule the under world, nether world or hell, as you prefer, you can get pretty creative. Anubis is no exception. He enjoys his collection of souls, keeps his favorites near him and has a never ending rain of new ones. Seeing as he is a dog and loves to bury his bone he has created a new ritual, the 'Daily Wedding!"

 He seeks the fairest of the days beauties who have fallen into his domain.  He marries them himself to his 'Marriage Statue'.  He has guests and invited Gods party all night.  Then he ravishes his new brides to total destruction.. After all tomorrow is a new day, a new bride and a new wedding!

Well Ra has heard of this barbaric practice and decided to visit, unannounced, to witness it in person to see if it is indeed true. As the ceremony was about to start he appears before the courts announcer. What he sees and hears disturbs him so he announces "I am Ra and I have come to witness this so called wedding."

While the announcer is informing Anubis of the uninvited guest, Ra goes to talk to the Bride to be. He finds her to be a delightful young thing and very well equipped. Seems her only sin was pleasing her master to much and his wife poisoned her by pretending to be kind and offering her a drink after several hours of pleasing her master. Now she fears she will be torn to pieces as by mad dogs. Ra is smitten, he will have her and redeem her soul to heaven. He takes the silly 'Wedding Statue" and tosses it to the ground.

Ra announces to Anubis that he will be marrying the new bride today and everyday till this practice stops!   Anubis is not pleased and confronts the God of the Sun in anger. His minions advance towards Ra menacingly. It is then Ra unleashes his command voice and all pause and pay homage.

Anubis is so angry he ignores the command and tells Ra to get lost. Ra replies,"You are nothing but a small minded God and an abusive dog" ! As Ra speaks poor Anubis shrinks to the size of a lap dog. What have you done to me he cries!!

Now Ra assumes the central throne and puts Anubis in the corner as a bad doggie! He turns turns to the quests and says "Please continue to enjoy my wedding and lets have some entertainment". Anubis pots and whines like a beat cur.

Be careful of who you anger, you just might come up short in the deal..
