Meet Misty

Country Girl Can Survive

My Doll:

Misty is a StarPery 159C silicone. She arrived in July 2021, with the help of Jeff. She was welcomed by my other girls as well as myself.

She has really nice paint and details like veining and facial features, a true natural beauty. I think Misty has a look that can go from country girl to a sexy bedroom lover very easily. She has a soft silicone head, which is welcome compared to harder silicone's that I have and have known. She is not heavy to me and her joints are not crazy tight, which makes doing photo shoots a pleasure.

The shoot:

Hot would be an understatement. Here in Virginia the temperature was hovering around 104 degrees that day. Then add in Misty with her sexy country girl look, which brought the heat up even higher.

The setup was quite easy with a few bails of straw and the Honda ATV. I threw in a few props and you have a quick little setup. Misty was quick to jump on the ATV and if it were not for me taking the keys out, she would of driven away. The freedom of privacy is something I enjoy, with the closest person several hundred acres away.

It was mid day, the sun could have been a little lower to reduce shadows, but I feel it turned out pretty good. She is such a beauty and really make things go quite easy. If it were not for that crazy heat.

Equipment:

I did a lot of early photo on TDF with an Iphone, or Samsung. A few years ago I moved to a Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR with 58mm 2X telephoto, Wide Angle Lens. I like using my Yongnuo YN50mm F/1.8 Large Aperture AF Lens to do closeups. I really like the way it blurs the backgrounds, bringing the subject forward.

I am not in any way a professional, I take 20 photos to every one I keep. Then end up reducing those to only one or two.

Never been one for shooting to many keeper images of a photo shoot. I am happy if I get 4 photos out of 100.LOL.

This shoot was outdoors so no extra lighting. When indoors I do use 2, 700W Output Lights, Soft Continuous Lighting with Umbrella Reflectors.

They seem to do the job for me, with keeping this hobby to an amateur level.

Note from the Editor: Each month we will feature a different photographer's work. We invite doll owners and manufacturers alike to participate in this new monthly feature. Photo shoots must meet a minimum quality level. If you do not meet that level we are happy to work with you, critique your photos and help you to raise the bar on your photography. Good photo shoots can be had with low cost digital cameras. It is all in the technique.
