Mishka's Studio - March Getting wet and hot!

Body:

This month, I am featuring my oldest doll from 2017, who I call Daisy, and she is a WM161 G cup. She has weathered the storm of time quite well, and needed cosmetic repairs on her armpits, which I performed several months ago. I think she's a best case scenario because she is a display model at our home, and stands in certain seasonal clothing during the year. Sometimes, she spends months outside in the shade and accompanies me when I do a BBQ or host events. Company like her makes me quite happy. So I figured, it's time to get her to do a few outdoor poses in a skimpy outfit, and also since the weather was so nice. I designed the tropical backyard with photos in mind and enjoying it out there with the occasional doll. Privacy is excellent due to high 6 foot fences.

On this day, I used a common technique of spraying water on Daisy to give her that wet look. It also gives a great 3D depth and contrast when done right. Here a simple spray water bottle was used to just get the droplets to bead and not run. I would then aim the Godox light box on her and try for a very shallow depth of field. I also used a warmer white balance around 8000K, and a tripod to yield very well focused shots. For these and most of my shots, I use the camera positioned in a portrait mode, so I could ger her in the frame. The background was intentionally blurred so as to get her in focal view.

The use of the light box was to prevent dark shadows on her face due to shadows from clouds and the frame of the pergola. I used around a 1/32X power so as to not get tto much artificial light on her. I believe less is more in these cases.

Daisy has a gooseneck, common for the era, and hinged wrists, but they do not pose too well, as does the head, but in simple shots, I can achieve many poses with care.

Perhaps she will last more years? - time will tell!
