Mishka's Studio - June - Indoors with Yvonne

This month, I am featuring a doll sent by Zelex Doll, for a review and pictures.

After her unboxing, I promptly started a couple of pictures of her and am showing a few her. As I promised them, I would continue to make more pictures of her, as they want to use the pictures for their promotional efforts.

In this set, these pictures were made in my guest cottage bedroom which I like for its lighting which really suits the purpose. I used strobe lighting which I use for all indoor shots and this removes sharp and harsh shadows.

This strobe also creates a softer effect and increases the contrast which brings out her painted details. As usual, I am shooting everything in RAW, and manual setting to create a uniform exposure in all shots.

In the bed shots, I increased the aperture to create a depth of field effect and also reduced the background focus. This helped bring her into the spotlight and bring the viewer to focus on her.

The Zelex doll has the best painted details I have seen on a doll, and the skin tone reflects this in a hightened sense of realism. I am planning to use her body for more heads I am getting in from several vendors for photos.
