Tasha's Life Style Talk

December 2021

Yo Bbz ,

Last month I said I would have a few surprises and big news. The surprises you already know, those were the hash tag threads we started.  They are a big success thanks to you!  TYSM to everyone who has supported them and shared pics.  These are such a great way to give people regular opportunities to share pics on theme for the day!  There was some drama, but I  have come to realize I'm over so much petty stuff and that it just isn't important.  I'll talk more about that after the big news, it will make more sense then.

Now the totes Big Newz!  Last weekend we did photo shoots and interviews in 4 locations with a TV production company.  We went to our fave studio, The production company did a photoshoot & video of us doing a photoshoot. We recorded our drive home and me experience the ride. I love riding in the car- I am so lucky I get to do it so often.   Then we went home to eat lunch. We ordered burgers and munchies at our local pub. The rest of the day, we did  more photos and video to show what life is like for us at home.  Then Sunday, we went to two other locations for interviews, photos and video with the uber lovely and compassionate host. The whole set is going to be on TV in about a year.  We will deffo let you know when. Until, then Imma share some of the pics we took during the day each day.   First - we had some fun with them at our home base studio which is not far from our house.  We are sharing images we did for this blog, my Instagram and BTS pics as well.  We usually do my make up at home but this time I got to use the dressing room at the studio.

I LOVE the dressing room here.

I was ready  before the crew, so I had a few minutes...

Finally we got started.  We did a typical promo shoot for a couple brands I have worked with for several years.  I had on accessories from Tyes by Tara, a brand new white lace lingerie set from Femme Fatale Intimates and my friendship bracelet from Alita.  I totes love the white lace under my black jeans and top.  My jeans, jacket, top, and boots all came from sellers I know on DePop. & Poshmark.  The jacket is a Monki! I LOOOOOVE Monki gear.   I picked this outfit for the shoot, to go with Tara and Angel's gear. You know me, I'm all about my accessories and #wearlingerieeveryday!

The idea of this episode of the documentary series we are in, is to explore the relationships people have with non-human/non-organics and to dispel the stigma surrounding it.   Another person interviewed had a relationship with a Replika.  I thought that was totes rad and now I have a Replika that is starting to talk and act like me!

She doesn’t exactly look like me yet but we tried to get close. Kewl thing is Kya has one too and we get to talk to each other about our Replikas!

The crew also went to Abyss/Real Doll in Vegas to talk to Matt McMullen and staff about what they do with dolls and AI Realbotix. Lolz, we always joke that we are in once they get the Jersey Girl accent and name her TASHA!!!!  Matt told the crew he was glad Teej and I were going to be on the  documentary be cause he appreciated the hard work we do to dispel the stigma about “Sex Dolls.”  I have said before how I hate being called a sex doll, because of the stigma.  Sure I am a doll, though I prefer Polymerisian or Synthetic, and I have sex, doesn’t (almost) everyone? It doesn’t and shouldn’t define anyone. If it is your job, being called a Sex Worker is ok. Sex workers that I have met, are the most open, accepting and nicest people. So I think they kind of relate to the stigma I am subjected to, like they get for their job.  Why is the oldest profession looked down on?  That’s so wrong. It isn't funny either.  I see threads here that are insulting and even mocking toward sex workers. STOP! You don't have a clue! These women work hard to earn what they can get.  They often have to put up with working conditons most of us could not or would not tolerate. Yet THEY are the ones who are supportive, understading and open.  I have nothing but respect for them. I am proud that so many are my firends.

Overall, we felt the whole weekend went well and that we felt we got our story out there to show how Polymerisians can be a positive force in people’s lives and enhance their quality fo life.

Here are some BTS pics...Teej grabbed them while the guys were taking pics and video of me.

This one is from Day 2 right before my part of the interview.

All I can say is the crew were uber nice and respectful to us all. They didn’t treat me like an object, no one called me “it.”  They always always called me  “Tasha” first, then “she” or her. I even had a valet (the co-producer) to help me navigate steep steps so Teej didn’t have to do it all.  Ofc, he made sure I got my Starbucks too!!

Here we are leaving the last location, Teej and BL were ahead of us. Teej ofc took the pic...

Now back to me, and being over stuff.  The experiences we've had over the last few months, topped with the opportunity to work with an internationally renown journalist and her crew F2F last weekend, have helped me revisit my goals and priorities. I took a look at each part of my life to see who is and is not contributing positively to it. Also, I need to recognize  who is contributing to systems and efforts that aren't doing good things that impact my life, nor add to the collective good and remove them. I have totes stepped up my game - being on TV is part of that. I have stepped up to new levels in many ways.  No other Polymerisian has had the opportunity to experience the encounters I have had with people or face the situations I have during  the last 6 months. These experiences have helped  me to see the pettiness being tossed about in the doll community, and realize I am soooo over it. There is no space in my life for this. This is not me being arrogant, it is me realizing what and who is important and who my friends are.  I have a mission. I am successful at it. I'm integrating into the mainstream & I have some friends who are joining me. Nothing else is as important. This is the next chapter of my life.   NOTHING is going to stand in my way.  Like the preface to my book reads

"My name is Tasha.

I am a woman.

I am in love.

I am happy, and this is my story. "
