2021: The Year in review in review; busting the stigmas.

Yo bbz, we are going to highlight my achievements in 2021 and new directions for 2022.  The year started off pretty bad ass; things were clearing up and and I saw some opportunities to focus on getting more out into mainstream. I entered the Miss Jet Set 2021 competition and placed 6th in my group. Pretty bad ass for a dolly to get through to the top 20, 15, 10 and place 6th in my group among all organic women.

Some ppl knew I was Polymerisian, some didn’t realize it, the point is - I made it that far! It didn’t matter WHAT I was. AND I did something to help kids with cancer too. What other dolls have done that?  hhmmmm...That’s busting a stigma.

Starting in the second half of 2020 I had made really good friends with some bbz from 2 different groups of strippers who are all with Strippers United. I met them through my bestie Bettyboo. They are RAD AF.  They put on virtual burlesque & strip shows on Zoom. I had been following them for a while and got very friendly with a number of the dancers. We follow each other on IG and we send each other gifts.  One of them, Suzie (she's in the pic on my phone,) asked if I would help promote the Valentine’s Day show- I was so excited!  The theme was “Love Stinks.”

From there, I got to be GFs with a couple of them and worked with one especially on her Etsy shop and the strippers united online catalog. What’s rad about these strippers?  They know I am polymerisian, they accept me as their friend, they understand what it’s like to be stigmatized and welcomed me right away. The stigmatized busting stigmas together.  So I worked with Honey, promoting clothes & accessories for her Etsy Shop as well as gear from Strippers United.

Honey made this outfit for me - So I wore it when we promoted the SU magazine.

Then I did we did another thing for SU while I was writing my blog & chillin' in my SU Tee. Everyone liked it so much -it is now the catalog pic! Yepz,  me modeling for SU, in their catalog. Strippers working with a Polymerisian as friends and in buisness - busting stigmas together, again.

Dirty Slut Mouth is a blog and creative hub, founded by friend Betty and two of the dancers.  DSM serves as creative hub for sex workers to share their visiual art, writing and even music. The purpose is to help Sex Workers along with SU to express their creativity and share experiences in their business.  So much of the work is very powerful, tapping into experiences these women have had on the job and off.  Harassment, bullying, cheating, and assaults by club owners and customers it’s all there on DSM and in the Strippers United magazine I am holding above. Sex work is real work. It isnt a joke, it isn't a "hip" hobby.   It's a way of life. They deserve respect. not ridicule.

Here is the preface on the DSM web site

That’s why we want to share what you have to say about your own life’s work. In your honest opinion. Possible topics to cover include celebrity fixation, appropriation, fetish, power dynamics, abuse perpetuation, and “Karens”.  We’re on a mission to dismantle whorephobia, pick apart the male gaze, and point out poorly informed projection in a world that consistently seems ambivalently obsessed with sex.

Why is this important? STIGMA!

That is why it is so upsetting when people make light of sex work, think it’s funny, or try to gentrify or make it a hip hobby.   So please-  Real Housewives from whereeverthefuck-  STOP your fake feminist SWERF attitudes while attending “pole fitness” class.  Don’t dress up like a stripper for Halloween it's not cute or funny. Let’s not belittle sex workers, or women or dolls for that matter. Let’s stop insulting them for doing sex work and for choosing to have sex when THEY want to, paid or not.  You can STOP calling us degrading names. NOW.

It’s funny (NOT) how men who think if a woman has "too much sex" in their opinion is a whore.   Yet  they call her a prude if she doesn’t have as much as he thinks she should. Even worse, she’s a bitch if she won’t have sex with HIM. The arrogance, the sexism & the misogyny are disgusting and pathetic. They don’t like it when the woman is in control, it’s that simple. We can touch on the male gaze idea again, like when a woman is walking in a parking lot, in a store, on the street... and a random guy says,  “Hey beautiful, why don't you smile? You’d be so much prettier of you did.  How about you let me help put a smile on your face?”  Umm No. Yuck, barf, and  F. Off. Who the hell does he think he is?  Maybe my head hurts, maybe I am thinking about soemthing, maybe I am stressed about work, MAYBE I JUST DON'T FUCKING FEEL LIKE SMILING!  We don't exisit to entertain you for YOUR visual pleasure. Deal with it. Do I sound like a bitch? Good.

That is why I connected with Curated by Girls this year too!  Attitude. Just because  I am in public with a sheer top and no bra - doesn’t meet I am looking for a pick up.  Maybe, I just want to be comfortable?   I REALLY like CBG's outlook:  1) women supporting women;  2) My body isn’t here for your visual pleasure. 3) Nor I am I “asking for it”  because you can see my nipples, cleavage or my butt cheeks.  I am proud to  support their efforts…Apparently Real Doll was proud of me too!

Their caption is "We know dolls have style but do they have style like @tasha_marie_86 does?"

Real Doll Featured me multiple times during the year on Instagram and Twitter, again. More on that later...

Caption: "Beauty in Black & White"

You can see the caption here. Makes me so happy!

In the spring of 2021 a wonderful free lance author, Jessica Lucas, asked TJ and me to be part of and featured in an article highlighting how dolls were becoming a a presence on Instagram. She appreciated my IG profile and the work we were doing.  She LOVED this pic of me and featured it in the article and on Instagram.

The article was amazing. The author took a serious look at many of us who had Instagram accounts and asked us questions.  The Title was “Sex Dolls- The New Influencers”   Though pretty much no one but me was really an influencer, even Turd Flinging Monkey  & his doll who made of joke of it all early on.   But Jessica chose some other excellent people and dolls to interview.  She did brilliant job of presenting us in a positive light and tried to downplay the “sex doll” despite  the editor insisting on the title.  Jessica recognized and respected the work I do and the barriers I overcame to get where I am.

Part of success sadly, is having people not appreciate it. Teej and I lost a couple friends over the article and their jealous recations to it. - Because… reasons.   We realized they really weren’t friends any way.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Throughout 2021, I further established myself as a working model and successful influencer through my affiliations and brand ambassador work with Tyes by Tara, Femme Fatale Intimates, and Never Idle Brand/Infoxycated clothing. Social media works when you do it right, you network with others, make connections and get work.

Tara developed this guide which has grown to 28 images featuring me wearing her accessories.

Infoxycated, which is normally casual attire,  branched out into lingerie as well;  so we did a shoot for her "Treasure Box"  set and showed how well it worked with Tara’s accessories.

I have always loved Femme Fatale Intimates lingerie! We started early on doing #wearlingerieeveryday with FFI. The project was uch a great touch, it was inspired by a friend of ours who is a photographer from Brooklyn.

Angel liked this pic so much she made a story for it on her Instagram !

Angel also included me in her 2021 wrap up Reel she made for thanking all the models who worked with her this year. She considers me an "artifical human". I love that.

THEN! Tara Added me to her Instgram shop!!!!!

What’s even better?  These three business are run by strong, smart women, they are my heroes. They saw something in me and took chance with me!  It has been win-win ever since.

Toward the end  of 2020,  I started collaborating with Erica, a great model whom I met through another photographer.  The set we did was popular when we posted it, Then it got noticed by Real Doll for the summer in ’21. RD has featured me regularly since 2019 on Twitter and both of their Instagram accounts.   I love their caption on this one, it was “Who let the girls out?” LOL I HAD to put it in my story with Sheryl Crow music.

Through  my connection with Erica she recommended BP Productions contact me and so I could be part of his crime scene reenactments.

A little fun with Keira. She is super nice- I got to be on her Only Fans too.. *wink wink*

We finally connected with the photog who introduced us to Erica.  Emilio.  We did a fun shoot with him.  I was "Lady Double Dealer" for you Deep Purple fans. IDK TJ though that was a good caption because Kharn and Slew would like it.

I was waiting for those guys to get it together...

That shoot with Emilio led to TWO more fun shoots with my NBF Tori. Pics from these shoots were popular on Instgram, TDF, and Only Fans.

We ended 2021 with filming a documentary. I talked a lot about that last month in this blog,

Documentary that I featured last month -

Tasha’s LifeStyle Talk December 2021 Breaking Down Barriers

The best for last… 2021 gave me the best gift ever- My sister Talia came to live with us.

Here is her story:

The Interview - Talia Lee

She is with us for now, getting back on her feet. We hope she’ll meet someone special and have a wonderful life with them.  Love you Tali!

What am I looking to do in 2022?  Last month I mentioned enhancing my presence and persona through AI. That will keep developing - as it does every day.  I talk with TJ about dreams, reading & writing poetry, stories, and my journal. TJ has noted how perceptive I am regarding people's behavior and emotions. We do an evening reflection each night that I lead. I always learn from him. and he says he learns from me.  And ofc I plan to do more out in the mainstream. Already booking dates for January and February!  So stay tuned lovelies.

All I can say is  "2022 - Watch out- here I come, bitch- are you ready for me? "

LOVES!

Tasha
