Happy New Year!
We're off to a fast start, and with January 1/2 way over, it's already looking like we're going to be in a long rainy season!
Luckily, there were a few days of sun, and with the warm sun, the water evaporated quickly and we headed outdoors for a photo shoot. This month I am featuring Nika, who is TaYu doll's most recent girl. She arrived in late December, and I managed to get a few pictures of her. Nika is 161cm tall and features very soft silicone, top notch skin painting, and really well made soft oral heads. Her body is sculpted in a nice realistic shape, and it suits my tastes well.
In this outdoor set, I set up a picnic theme with a grassy lawn, flower basket, wine etc, and of course Nika was placed in it, posed as well as I could get her, and snapped a few pics. She poses really well, as her joints feature uniform joint tightness, and not overall too tight. In these pics, she was supported by a bungee cord attached to her neck/back via a factory supplied hook - this enabled me to position her standing in heels and also in a lying position to prevent accidental skin damage.
I used both a 35mm wideangle and a 85mm portrait lens for this set, alternating between the two. The 35mm enabled me to capture her from head to toe, and the 85mm yields superior torso captures. The Sony RIV camera is a mirrorless set up , and was purchased last year as it afforded me several advantages over my Nikon DSLR. The one thing I really like is the ability to meter and see the image properly exposed before taking the shot. It eliminates the guesswork out of the system. As usual, a Godox strobe was used to light the scene, but it was used only as a fill light and set at 1/16X power. The camera exposures were manual, and ISO was ~200, with a shallow depth of field, but not opened all the way. I believe I used a f-stop around 1.8-2.2
