Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14 in most countries as a day of love and affection. It is first and most importantly associated with the expression of love between romantic partners. Valentine's Day has origins in ancient Rome. February 14th was a day dedicated to a god named Valentinus.  Valentinus then was thought of as the patron saint of love.  He was frequently sought by those seeking to find or strengthen love.

Valentine's Day became more even closely associated with romantic love and expressing it though gifts and celebrations. In the 14th and 15th centuries, people gave handwritten notes or small gifts on Valentine's Day as a way of expressing their love and affection for one another. These notes and gifts were called "valentines," and they frequently had hearts, flowers, and other symbols of love on or with them

Valentine's Day is now celebrated in a variety of ways all over the world. It is customary in some countries to exchange cards or gifts with one's partner, especially flowers! People may go out to romantic dinners or go on special dates with their lovers.  Some people even marry or get engaged on Valentine's Day because of its romantic and meaningful theme.

Now in 2023,  Valentine's Day is all about celebrating love and affection in a variety of ways. It is a day to celebrate romantic partners, family members, and even your best friend! This is the time to express your appreciation and gratitude to those who are important to you and love.
