Hi there and welcome to this month's CoverDoll blog. We will be celebrating all things wolf like! Take me, do you remember me from Spyder Island? No, well maybe this will help you recall! Woof! Now you are in for a real treat. Today is celebration for the sexy red headed Werewolf Hunters, the Crimson Wolf Riders. Believe me if you are a werewolf you don't want to hear their cries or see that flash of red and then you end up dead! So, I am out of here. Enjoy, I'll be back later!

Crimson Wolf Riders! Attention!

These ladies are my own creation. If you know me, you realize I can never do just one. My challenge was to create a figure that would inspire the feeling of an Amazon warrior class. When you want to do several figures it is tough to find 6 or 7 of the same items. Took me a long time to get all the parts I wanted. Basically it was mostly eBay that provided what I needed. I will also acknowledge my daughter who helped dress the ladies for me. If you want a detailed list just pm me.

Company: D20studio, Giant Wolf 1/12 scale figure. Standing at about 7.5 inches tall and weighing a good 4 pounds of solid plastic this incredible find comes in grey (white) or black and not painted. Two formats, basic with saddle and reins (best choice) or an elaborate one with full bone dressing (way to finicky). These are supposed to be dire wolves at the 1/12 scale but as 1/6 they are still very robust and pose nicely. Just one drawback, the head will not look up! They come with 2 heads. Expensive but worth every penny (all the parts can pop on and off if you want to remove the saddle!

Behind the scenes. Since it was sprinkling on and off I needed to create a way station. Wanting to take some outdoor photos, you are at mother nature's whims after all. It was in the 80's and humid so running around with these heavy figures (and you don't want parts to fall off) I set up my little table at the halfway point. They looked so good so I had to include this photo!

It has been a hard winter here at Fern Valley. As spring starts to show her pretty face other less desirable creatures have also appeared. Werewolves were spotted several times and worse a combination of Pixie and Hooman Werewolves. This is serious work and takes a serious group of hard and trained warriors. Silver may work on some werewolves, but nothing can survive the penetration of a Black Dragons Scales or Teeth!

Well, aren't they beautiful and scary at the same time! Between the warrior and the wolves, they ride no werewolf stands a chance. So, we have come up with a solution. Meet my good buddy, Warren. Woof. woof!! He is a good boy! We discovered that when a hooman is turned by a Pixie Werewolf they change into this form of Werewolf but cannot turn back into a hooman anymore. But fortunately, they don't remember who they were and run as fast as those hunter's wolves.

Now don't run, this will only hurt for a few seconds!
