Portrait of a Family. Part 3 of 5

Body:

Annette - The Wild One.

Yvonne's blow in cousin from out West. Easy to see they have the same genes physically; but Nete is Sassy, Adventurous, Confident, Independent, Challenging, very easy on the eye and incredibly Sexy. She knows what she wants and she is darn well going to get it. (But that is another story).

The picture is 'Fresh in the Traces' by Hugh Sawrey, an Australian outback impressionist.

The horses are full of energy, almost wild, challenging each other as they pull the stagecoach through the bleak Australian Outback scene. They show no fear, know where they are going and it seems it is they who are in control and charge rather than the 'driver'.

Hugh Sawrey is a popular Australian artist whose paintings often appear on such things as place mats and coasters and there are many prints. In 1973 before he became well known & celebrated we saw some of his original paintings in a small seaside town art gallery. Around a mere $300.00 each give or take. So close we came to buying one but opted for a more unusual sand painting by B. Kemp instead. He remains unknown but a genuine Sawrey would fetch between $10,000 to $20,000 today.

Them's the breaks.

Nony is always beautiful and Elle is always jealous of all those different outfits she notices on Nony & your other ladies. Elle's wardrobe is more... reasonable imo, desert in Elle's opinion, LOL ! This outfit is very nice and so sexy !

I suggest you to move the painting from the center of Nony's head next time (on the right when she looks towards right). It allows to have a better reading of the painting and photo and avoid the model to have the painting as an extension of her hairs. It's a rule i learnt in a book about portraits ;) Your depth of field is just perfect because Nony & the painting are perfectly in the focus :)

Cheers,
Jihan & Elle

I have said it before and I will say it again, I prefer the foreground. ;)

However I do like the painting and Australia did have a similar wild west to America, which a lot of people forget.

So whip cracker away and line up the shots of whisky my lass :D

This may sound odd but the scarf looks very sexy on Annette. I think I have found a new fetish. I am a big fan of Renaissance art but that Sawrey captures a lot of life in that painting. I wouldn't mind a print like that in my collection.

Annette is gorgeous!  And a fantastic outfit that she wears so well.  Hmm, maybe when I visit next time I should leave Zara behind.
