As every year I wanted to do an Easter shot with the gals. But for this year I had a special 'joker' in form of a nice surprise!
Not that easy to hide secrets from this perky bundle as they have this kind of shrewdness in mind. To keep it VERY secret it needs a lot of precautionary and carefulness in 'high grade' level. In this case it was like working at an under cover mission, just not that dangerous.
As every Sunday I went to my favie Italian restaurant and it's a yearly house tradition that they've a huge chocolate egg in a lottery on which you can buy tickets.
The popularity of this house tradition is that great that it is more than recommended to buy some tickets as soon the opening starts, they're gone quickly.
My goal was: winning! In fact I'm usually not that great on these kind of games but you can only win when you try your chance, that's life.
The winner of the this year's Easter egg was......BINGO......SF!!
Yeah, and now we come to the hardest part: there's SF, a huge 10 kg chocolate egg, and the logistically complicated transport mission to move this unwieldy monster of egg upstairs in front of the apartment door. A very risky mission, believe me. The fragile piece could be destroyed in seconds when it would not be handled with the utmost care. At the time I started this sweeping action I was more than sure that my trio enjoyed watching TV. They're usually quite loud and noisy when I'm not present at home. They didn't hear me opening the front door and I placed the egg aside on the corridor.
So far, the hardest part of this under cover mission was accomplished. Time to proceed to the next chapter :-)
It's not that easy to acquire the attention of a trio while they follow their most likey TV series. To do this the best trick is to be louder as they're and immediately starting your speech in a way like < HEY DEAR LADIES....I've a great surprise for you >
Zoe, acting that day as remote control chief, muted the sound of the speakers. Just saying: HE, we know your tricks dude but okay...show it!
Following me to the corridor little Zoe starred to this huge glittering thing.....GOSH, what's that??? Me: < An Easter surprise ladies >
Again, I took all care with me to move the huge egg to the destination place.
< Incredible..WOW...>< Is that a Brontosaurus egg? >< Never seen that before >
The gals of course couldn't await to open the chocolate surprise and after snapping a few group piccies cute Mia started to remove the (non-eatable) deco foliage.
< CHOCOLATE....Yeahhhh! >< MMMH....smack smack Rrrrrrrr!>< HUUH a big Rocher >
So much fun seeing them around the ++ Eden cioccolato ++
Amy likes to lick on every sweet and candy things and it took not that long and she started a large-scale conquest of the brownish surface.
I took not that long and the egg was salvaged in a Piranha-stylish killing act with the goal to grasp the best pieces of chocolate and to discover what's inside.
It was a card wishing HAPPY EASTER TO YOU :-)

WOOW That is one mighty egg
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! You are nuts, SF!!!!
Howmany lottery tickets did you buy? All of them?
10 KG chocolate???!!!!! ......What on earth are you going to...... I better not comment on that. Hahahaha.
But one thing is for sure. This is the first topic I started to read in CD for this month and there is NOW WAY that any other topic will beat you with this. I am really having serious problems to stop laughing.
And I think your photo series is topnotch. Pity that you did not add photos of the girls having fun with the pieces of the egg.
I do not know if everybody will enjoy your topic like I do , but for me this is absolutely hilarious.
You really have made my day. Thank you!
Koen
HA, yeah these gals make me nuts
HA, yeah these gals make me nuts
The goal was winning, RRRRR......okay....bought 10 tickets (I will tell you the more in all confidence). Only one is the winner but there's no refund for the rest . And: there's the huge mass of 10 kg chocolate in different shapes from small to bigger pieces which fills about 2 buckets!!!!!!
I agree, I would have til my end of my life to eat all that BUT there're 3 candy-killing shredders which don't have any problem doing that and I just could 'save' a few pieces for myself!!!!
Keep in mind that I'm the master at 'SF's place'.......but only as long I'm present at home . No chance to control that, even the budgies refuse to interact as they risk to also be eaten!!
Sadly it was not possible to catch a few pics while the egg was brutally salvaged with the help of a vase (which didn't survive the martial act). It was a too dangerous area at that moment looking like a battle field and I kept in safe distance.
Thanks for your comment :-)
